Mombasa Maize Millers are the largest millers of maize and wheat in Kenya producing both maize flour and wheat flour under the Taifa brand and animal feeds under the brand name Faida Feeds.
Founded by the brothers Islam Ali and Ahmed Ali in 1978, Mombasa Maize Millers is now managed by the second generation of the family, growing from a single small maize mill in Mombasa to become the largest miller of maize and wheat in Kenya.

Taifa is the primary brand name of Mombasa Maize Millers’ flour products and is the most well known brand in the coastal region of Kenya. All Purpose Home Baking Flour (also known as Ngano ya Taifa), is an all purpose home baking flour suitable for preparing Maandazi/Mahamri and Chapati.
Self Raising Flour contains raising agents specifically used for making cakes. Taifa Maize Meal (also known as Taifa Sima) is maize flour used for making Ugali. Chenga ya Taifa is maize grits for making a dish commonly referred to “mchele wa mahindi”, common in Mombasa and the islands of Lamu.
Chapati flour is specialy formulated for making chapattis Atta Mk 1 is a finely ground wholemeal flour for making Chapatis and Roti. Bakers’ Flour is specifically made for the production of bread in commercial bakeries.
