Stobart Rail focuses on third-party rail contracts and supports Stobart Energy with its green energy investment plans. The volume of freight transferred from road to rail cut the fleet’s total road activity by more than 13 million miles, reducing the Group’s CO2 emissions by around 24,000 tonnes.
Stobart Infrastructure consists of a portfolio of properties including airports, investment/ operational and green energy. Stobart Infrastructure will be making a £7.5 million investment in the biomass plant to be built at Widnes; and commissioning began in November 2014 at the £20 million anaerobic digestion plant in Teesside, following an investment of £5 million by Stobart Infrastructure.
Stobart Investments encompasses logistics specialist, Eddie Stobart, and aircraft leasing company, Propius, which now owns 10 aircraft leased to Stobart Air, with options on four additional aircraft.
